Clearwater Community Sailing Center

After watching Super Boat– if you get the itch to sail, visit the Clearwater Community Sailing Center. It has been a part of the Clearwater community for years.  They offer sailing lessons for adults, teens and even offer a Summer Camp Program for sailing.  The Center rents all sorts of sailing vessels– from the paddle boards and Kayaks, to the Caramaran or Daysailer.  The vessels are rented on an hourly basis, and the rates are pretty darn good.  One can join the Sailing Center on a yearly basis, or seasonal.  Joining the center makes boat rentals free and that alone is a good reason to join.  Lookig for a facility for a function?  The Clearwater Community Sailing Center rents their Carlisle Room and their Veranda.

Palm Pavillion Clearwater Beach

The Palm Pavillion is where the locals hang out– live music and a FREE sunset come with every dinner.  The menu is traditional coastal Florida faire, which includes U-Peel shrimp and Fried Gator.  The Nachos Beach Style are unbelievable and the ribs are finger-licking good.  The Coconut Shrimp, served up with tangy orange marmalade sauce, makes one want to slap their momma.  The drink menu is the best on the beach.  Who would not love the Chunky Monkey, Toasted Almond or Rum Runner the way the locals drink them?  The Sangria is served by the glass or pitcher– really who needs only a glass of sangria when the pitcher will do.  Had too much sangria and need a place to lay your head for the night?  You are in luck.  There is a Palm Pavillion Inn.
